My Squirrelly View of Education

Trying to Integrate Technology into HS English & Special Education

I found these pictures. How sad. It was a huge facility. Thousands of people worked there. Is this all that is left? Ironically, this place sits right next to Kettering University (formerly GMI). I feel sorry for those still in Flint, MI.

I fail to understand how the government can bail out AIG (now up to $150 billion and counting) while GM is in danger of shutting down, or at least filing for bankruptcy. Isn’t there an old saying that “as GM goes so goes the country”??? I am fearful about the next few years, but I am also hopeful the new administration will be able to provide a new perspective to our economic situation.

I’m going to Kettering currently. I heard from my mom’s husband how when he went here there used to be plants around the school. I think it’s pretty sad there are huge pads of nothing next to the school. I keep wanting to jump a fence and just walk around those big littered areas.
