Wonderful post, Karen, and I ended up following a few of the folks you have linked in your post here, so the connections continue. Like Paul, I like how your journey took you through various networks, including the Writing Project (dear to my heart)
Just to help further the connections, here is my list of NWP folks on Twitter (so far): http://twitter.com/#/list/dogtrax/nwp

I really enjoyed reading about your path through Twitter and towards the Eastern Michigan Writing Project's Summer Institute. I especially liked how you described the ways in which the professional possibilities via Twitter became clear only over time, and how you were able to contrast the kinds of collaborations you enjoy now, via all kinds of social media, with what you experienced in the past during your teaching career. That it really is about the people you follow.

Speaking of which, I'm really glad I've gotten to know you and your work via Twitter, Karen, and look forward to future collaborations.
